Job Title: Medical Supplies Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Clinical Operations
Hours: 1st shift
7am to 3:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday and every other Friday.
Notes: This is part-time position that works on opposite days of the other coordinator. Both
coordinators will assist with coverage when the other is on PTO and work at least four hours on the day(s)
the other coordinator is off to ensure the department is staffed Monday to Friday.
MEDICAL SUPPLIES COORDINATOR GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Summary
The Medical Supplies Coordinator is responsible for the inventory management and replenishment of supplies. This includes ordering,
stocking, filling orders and conducting an ongoing inventory of supplies to ensure supply demands are being met.
The Medical Supplies Coordinator is responsible for assisting all vendors with access to the building, HVAC, fire, ceiling, panels, electrical, etc.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds and ability push/pull a minimum of 35 pounds, which includes the lifting, pushing and/or pulling of medical supplies and equipment
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment with the supply room being in the basement of the building.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes ongoing and an annual end of the year inventory of medical equipment and supplies.
- Maintains an organized, clean, efficient work area and stores supplies according to product guidelines.
- Works with vendors and maintains a just-in-time current inventory by ordering supplies as needed without having too much surplus or
running out of items. - Research vendors and orders from those who provide quality supplies while keeping costs under control.
- Processes employee supply orders, refills supply bins according to guidelines and distributes nursing bags to new employees.
- Picks up from and delivers outgoing mail to the mailbox and distributes mail daily.
- Able to work in excel to create, maintain and update inventory files.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE OF CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
- Minimum of a H.S. Diploma or GED.
- General office experience.
- Prior experience working in a medical setting.
